As many of you know, Couture Fashion Magazine was hosting Fashion Week Nashville starting on September 7th 2010. However, we recently found out that this event was canceled and rescheduled with a new date that has yet to be determined. But we hear (from their twitter stream) it's some time in early November.
We did reach them for comment on why the event was rescheduled. Their comments were that the event was rescheduled due to low response and due to some arrangements with venues that left them unable to sell tickets at the door. Now, we all know that Nashvillians are always FASHIONABLY late buying tickets for events ;) However, with an event such as this, it's important that we buy tickets early and online so the host is aware of how many people are going to be in attendance.
Their thoughts are that they can provide a better and higher end show if they put it off till November. With more time and more varied media coverage, we believe they can as well.
We hear they are honoring all tickets already sold and adding more content to the shows. They have offered us full access coverage to all the events and when it does go down we'll be there to cover it.
Now, there are several variances on a fashion week concept planned over the next few months by different parties for Nashville and/or the surrounding area. We plan on covering all of them because we are excited to bring you whatever Nashville has to offer when it comes to fashion. We will also do our best to bring you this information in the most unbiased way possible.
Please stay tuned to NashvilleFashionEvents.com for more information on events that are coming up.
