Day 4 of Nashville Fashion Week

Day 4 of Nashville Fashion Week was my favorite day of the whole week. Walking into the courtyard of War Memorial Plaza (pictured above) I thought to myself, "This is the way a southern fashion show should be." Why? It was elegant, filled with charm, and had a chic appeal. We weren't trying to be trendy, we weren't trying to be 'New York', we were being Nashville. Appetizers were served in the courtyard which was lit dramatically with geometric silhouettes.

We were then ushered in to the auditorium with expansive hard wood flooring, a live band, and lots of open seating. It was nice, comfortable, and not filled with urgency of the other day of Fashion Week. Day 4 was like a lazy summer day. There was no bad view of the show which made the day more appealing.

The show opened with swimwear line Coquette by Brook Shipley. Shipley's designs have a cool vintage feel. The women standing near me continually complimented each design as it arrived on the runway. I liked the small details such as bow-tie closures, high waisted bottoms, and ruffles.

Norma Clare was a cute yet sophisticated line. I didn't like everything presented, but I loved of the pleating details on the sleeves and shorts. Everything was very wearable, straight off rack.

Julianna Bass was one of my favorites of the nights! Everything on the line was so great, highly detailed, and sexy. Julianna Bass selected as a designer to watch by both Women’s Wear Daily and New York magazine. There were leggings, cool tops, bags, and all the accessories matched.

Next up was Katharine Kidd presented by Gus Mayer. Everyone loved this line. It was very high-class and sophisticated. The details were amazing. The showed at least 20 looks ranging from day wear to night wear. There was dramatic ruffles, pleating, jewels, and silk and satin.

Oh, she even had gowns! Yes! With so many details that your head would spin. Love, love, love, this line.

Lastly, was Gustavo Cadile. This was something I was waiting for, dramatic gowns! So many gowns. Formal and flirty, long and luxurious - there was something for everyone. Cadile has dressed many celebrities and it is evident in the 'red-carpet' feel of his clothes. I wanted just about every dress shown.
